At the ECO-BUSINESS FUND S.A., SICAV-SIF, we take the protection and confidentiality of your personal data very serious. Your personal data is only collected and processed in compliance with applicable data protection law.

Scope and Purpose of our Personal Data Processing

Whenever you visit our web site, our web server will temporarily log each access to its log file (date, time, pages visited, browser and operating system, IP address and amount of data retrieved). The logging is restricted to pages you visit on our web site and stops when you follow links to third party web sites. Through this process, we will collect and store the above data until they are deleted again in accordance with statutory requirements.

We process this data only to the extent required for the purposes of providing access to the content (making connection) and to secure and administer our system. The IP address will only be analysed in case of security incidents on our systems.

The personal information you choose to provide us through any of the contact facilities of this web site (such as your name, email address and/or telephone number) will also be processed for the purpose of answering your queries or sending you any requested brochure or documentation.

Use of Cookies

We use a session cookie. Cookies are small data packages that we store on your device through your browser. Our cookie is technically required to properly present our web site. The cookie will not be stored persistently but will be deleted automatically once you terminate your session or, at the latest, close your browser. You may of course block cookies using the settings of your browser - however that may result in an incorrect presentation of this web site.

Please see the following links for a manual on how to change your cookie settings:

Use of Piwik

Our website also uses Piwik, an open-source, web analytics software package that runs directly on a web server hosted in Germany by Finance in Motion, the fund’s advisor. Piwik also uses cookies, including analytics cookies, and provides us with information about the visitors who use our web site.

Piwik automatically deletes the last octet of all IP addresses (e.g. 123.123.123.***) so that we are not able to identify your computer based on its IP address. We use the information generated by Piwik to compile reports that show which parts of the web site are of particular interest to visitors and where it may be improved. We do not transfer any personal usage data (not even the truncated IP address) to third parties. You may opt out of using Piwik at any time by clicking the below link. If you click on the link, Piwik will store a deactivation cookie on your computer that will tell Piwik to not analyse your visit of this web site and other web sites that use Piwik.

Object to collecting Piwik data

If you do not see the above link, you have already opted out of Piwik – possibly on another web site. Once opted out, you can only re-activate Piwik by deleting your cookies. Piwik functions are also turned off if you stop cookies from being installed as described in point 2 “Use of Cookies” above.

Disclosure of Data

We do not disclose your personal data to third parties without your consent, unless in accordance with applicable data protection law, to public authorities such as law enforcement authorities, regulatory or administrative, authorities, courts, or to any third parties if and insofar as it is necessary to clarify illegal website usage or for prosecution. However, such data transfer only takes place if there is concrete evidence of illegal conduct/misuse.

Personal data can also be disclosed if this is necessary to perform a contract with you.

We occasionally rely on service providers located within the European Union, such as Finance in Motion (the Manager), to render services to you and disclose personal data to them for this purpose in their capacity as data processors.

These service providers are carefully selected and regularly assessed.

Links to Web Sites of Third Parties

This privacy statement only applies to our web site. If and to the extent our web site contains links to third party web sites, we would like to point to the following: we do not have any influence whatsoever on such third party providers and do not control whether they comply to relevant regulations. We mark links to third party web sites, e.g. by using a small mouse-over pop-up. You will also be able to tell that you have left our web site by monitoring the address field in your browser.
