Impact Report 2025

Impact report 2025

Direct impact, wider reach

Our growing portfolio of direct investments supports sustainable production and protect biodiversity across multiple food supply chains

Nature does not pause while we navigate global geopolitical challenges. In many regions, ecosystems remain under growing pressure from unsustainable production.

This is where our investments make a difference: We help ensure that initiatives that matter continue to be financed, by supporting local banks to further scale up their support to sustainable businesses and increasingly expanding our own portfolio of direct lending to agri-businesses that safeguard ecosystems, use resources more responsibly, and contribute to stronger, more sustainable supply chains.

Advisory and Capacity Building remains a core pillar of this strategy. Through close engagement with our partners, we help strengthen environmental and social practices, support the adoption of more sustainable production methods, and improve impact measurement and reporting.

How we manage impact

The 2025 Impact Report demonstrates how the Fund generates measurable environmental impact through sustainable finance in Latin America, the Caribbean, and Africa. By combining investments in financial institutions with a growing portfolio in direct investments, while maintaining a focus the on agriculture, forestry, aquaculture/fisheries, and tourism sectors, the Fund supports businesses that protect biodiversity, promote sustainable resource use, and strengthen climate resilience.

Impact delivery and measurement are underpinned by a robust framework integrating sustainability standards, environmental and social risk management, and targeted monitoring tools. This includes the Fund’s biodiversity indicator, developed with PRé Sustainability, which quantifies how improved agricultural practices reduce pressure on ecosystems and enhance resilience.
